SCUBA is a uniquely Catholic half-day program put on by St Anne and St Joseph Parishes together. It is open to children finishing Junior Kindergarten through grade five in June 2024. VBS runs from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm, August 12-16 at St Anne Parish (268 East Ave).
Throughout the week, VBS kids join mixed-aged small groups, called Crews. These Crews are led by adults and teens who love working with children and helping them grow in faith. Your child will have many wonderful opportunities to make new friends during a week of activities, games, scripture, drama, science experiments, snacks, and more!
New for 2024: Registration Fee
This year we are moving to a set fee of $50 per child, or $35 each for families with three or more siblings*. This helps us cover the cost of our program and materials. The fee can be paid by cash or cheque to either parish office (St Anne or St Joseph) within two weeks of your online registration.
Please place your payment in an envelope marked ‘VBS Registration Payment’ and labeled with your child(ren)’s first and last name(s). The envelope can be dropped off at either office (during office hours or into the mail slot), mailed to either church office, or put into the collection basket at Mass. If paying by cheque, please make the cheque out to ‘St Anne Parish’ or ‘St Joseph Parish,’ as appropriate.
We will hold your spot for two weeks after your form was submitted, to give you time to drop off or mail your payment. Beyond two weeks, we cannot guarantee your space at VBS.
*We do not want cost to be a barrier for any family who wishes to join us. Please contact our director, Mary Forcier, if your family is in need of assistance to join us on our underwater adventure.
Youth Leaders
We looking for about 30 youth volunteers finishing grade 6 through 12 to run small groups, stations, and activities at VBS. Training is provided, and volunteer hours are available for high school students. Please let me know if someone in your family is interested in helping. This is a great way for those who have 'aged out' of VBS to stay connected and help make the experience great for younger campers.

Adult Leaders
Parents and grandparents are welcome to join in on the fun, too! While our youth leaders run the stations and small groups during VBS, we need adults for additional supervision, snack preparation, and general excitement building. We also love to have help building our sets and decorations. If you can help us make this a sand-sational year, please contact Mary Forcier at [email protected]. All adult volunteers are required to complete a Police Check and Volunteer Screening.
